Today I'm going to address something disturbing that I heard. Madonna was on the Ellen show speaking out against gay bullying when she likened it to lynching and the holocaust. First of all I am sick of these celebrities opening their mouths and just spewing a ton of diarrhea. This is why these people, the majority of which are uneducated will never be a role model of mine. Lynching is no way anything like bullying. Lynching involved torturing and murdering innocent people simply because of their skin color, something that can't be hidden or denied.
Gay bullying, however, IS indeed like any other bullying. There are overweight kids, "nerdy kids, goth kids, etc... that are being bullied just the same. Not everyone decides to kill him/herself. Some choose to hurt their bullies others decide to defend themselves. Either way these children obviously do not feel that they can turn to anyone either because they don't have enough support at home and at school. I really think parents need to work a little harder at teaching their kids to love themselves and to communicate with them when something is wrong. They also need to teach their kids to stand up for themselves!
Either way celebrities need to shut up and take care of themselves and their own dag on kids because their records of drug and alcohol abuse and divorce rates don't give them much room to talk.

Arizona Law
So Arizona's SB1070 law was stalled last week. Many people are for this law that allows the following: gives officers the right to ask for proof of immigration status, makes it a crime if you are illegal, and will require everyone to carry some form of proof of immigration status. There are other little things but these are the major areas that were looked at. Aren't there enough criminals that are doing worse things?
As a former immigrant myself I understand the struggles that people go through to make something out of nothing. My parents, sister, and I moved here when I was 3 so I basically grew up here. I've seen with my own two eyes the sacrifices that my parents made for us to have a better future. We didn't come here to live off of the system. My parents worked many jobs and made sure that we went to school in order to have a profession. When the time came we all applied for citizenship together as a family.
Lets remember that this country was captured, fought by, and built by immigrants. To say that one group doesn't deserve to come to this country is ridiculous. Take a minute to look into your own history and you will see that someone in your own family was at one time an immigrant too.
Illegal immigration occurs because America simply makes it too hard for people to come here legally. To ask someone to wait 10 years to be eligible to enter the US while they continue to live in poverty or be persecuted is not reasonable. Another thing is the cost. Yes there is a price tag to pay for any immigration procedure. We had to pay to become citizens after having to wait 14 years living in this country without traveling outside.
For those who say "learn the language" which language would that be? When you go on vacation do they tell you to learn the language if you want service? NO! Why is it people expect that everyone else accommodate to them but that nothing should be expected of them? Learning a new language for an adult is much harder than for a child so please be considerate and NOT ignorant when speaking about someone.
This country is so full of racism as the bottom line that now innocent people that are just trying to survive are being targeted. We must remember that when those officers look at someone they will question the Latino looking person before the blond haired blue eyed person and that is not right. Illegals come in many shades. It's a sad day in America when we no longer are the land of opportunity.

Tips to having an inexpensive yet classy wedding
This blog is for all of the newly engaged women out there. I got married last year amidst a recession and let me tell you staying within budget was extremely hard. Weddings aren't cheap especially if you want a nice memorable wedding.
I literally spent hours upon hours online to research as much as I could on how to save money for the wedding. Some things were more costly than others but in the end it was a beautiful wedding. I have put together information and money saving tips that I feel are the key components to having a wedding.
If you are a creative person this will be very easy for you because it takes a lot of creativity to come up with alternatives for the smaller details. I was lucky to have a very creative sister and mother who were essential in giving me ideas. Please remember that it's your wedding and you can pick and choose where you want to save and splurge.

Welcome
This is my first blog so I am going to apologize in advance if I didn't get the right idea about what to do here. I am an opinionated person and feel the need to express what I feel since holding it in all the time is not good for the soul. I wanted to start a blog that discusses current events while keeping it real. I understand not everyone will agree with my opinions but hey in today's society people need to hear the harsh truth sometimes to get back on track.
I also want to provide a place where people can find an honest review of products that many are too skeptical or scared to buy. You will either see me as gullible or daring to try new things. Either way I want to provide that info that companies may not always give you. So if there is something out there that you want an opinion on and I have tried it or know of people that have I will be glad to give an honest consumer report of it.
I am a Physical Therapist by trade so I also wanted to find a place to provide important information for potential patients. In my community I have seen a lack of regard for one's health because of the economy so if I can provide some useful information to help someone improve their health I will.
